CLB - the intersection of sports, social justice, and politics.
How can a botched flea flicker, a strike-out with the bases loaded or a double steal inform how we think about broader issues and conflicts, while perhaps offering paths toward acceptance and reconciliation in this politically divided age? Join us in this inquery….

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

the chick…
a little about her…..
"It’s a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma,” exclaimed the attending doctor upon her birth. No, wait, that was Winston Churchill in 1939 talking about Russia. But, as things happened, this would not have been very far from the truth. A PBK (Phi Beta Kappa), cum-laude-graduated raging math nerd; a drama queen with diva tendencies and a broad background in theater. A business executive with over 25 years of experience in the buttoned-down world of corporate finance; an unabashedly bleeding-heart social justice warrior and mental health advocate. A proud mother, college guest lecturer, pianist and author of several plays and a memoir; a slobbering, rabid, barely intelligible NFL football fan on Seahawk Sundays. A Marlboro Red chain-smoking rebel (formerly) with zero athletic aptitude or experience (still) who up and ran a marathon at the tender age of 37 (why not?).
Recently DFA’d unceremoniously from her CFO/interim CEO perch in the crusty country-clubby, white-male dominated middle-market capital space, she’s beginning to embrace the beckoning reality that the Universe needs her elsewhere. That she no longer need play chameleon in that vapid, soul-crushing world of faux friendliness and engineered enthusiasm. That she can now fully honor and foster her true self, in all its rich, contradictory splendor.
Join the chick as she works to reclaim her lost inner feminine self while exploring the intersection of sports, social justice, and politics. How can sports inform how we think about broader issues and conflicts while perhaps offering paths toward acceptance and reconciliation in this politically divided age? (Not sure, but Winston Churchill's going to be listening.)
